Fourteen Miscellaneous, Non-Trivial, Only Mildly Interesting Facts About Me

I get it: after looking through my website, you’re desperate to know more about me.  Here are fourteen facts about me (or maybe more than fourteen facts, depending on how we should enumerate facts):

  1. I’m married.  My wife is super awesome and her work is really well-known, but you’ve never heard of her.
  2. I have two children, a boy and a girl.
  3. I was married and baptized in a Macedonian Orthodox in Veles.
  4. I was raised Southern Baptist.
  5. I’ve been a lacto-ovo vegetarian since 1999.
  6. I enjoy cooking, and some people say I’m pretty good at it.
  7. I enjoy exercising, especially jogging, and do it every day I can.
  8. I read at least one essay or book chapter every day.
  9. I write at least one paragraph every day.
  10. I was born and raised in the Midwest.
  11. I’ve lived in the following states: Massachusetts; California; Iowa; Illinois; Minnesota; Nebraska; New Jersey; New York; and Ohio.
  12. I’ve visited the following countries: Macedonia; France; England; Scotland; Liechtenstein; Germany; Netherlands; Belgium; Italy; Czech Republic; Austria; Switzerland; Monaco; Vatican City; Spain; Egypt; Jordan; Israel; Canada; and Mexico.  (Your country’s not on the list?  Buy me a ticket and I’ll visit!)
  13. I can read French, German, and Spanish, but I don’t speak any of them.
  14. I understand a little Macedonian, but not enough for it to be useful.
